Installation

Installation of Mediastation is pretty straightforward. Download the latest version of Mediastation and execute it. Press Next on the first screen of the installer and Install on the second one. The installer will copy the necessary files to your computer and display one last screen on which you will see two options.

• Run Mediastation: you would want to keep that checked almost all the time. As stated, this will run Mediastation at the end of the installation process.
• Start Mediastation with Windows: if you do not want to bother with starting Mediastation manually everytime you want to use it, then leave this box checked. If you uncheck it you will have to start Mediastation manually from the Start Menu icons.

If you plan to only use the DLNA or UPnP access modes of Mediastation then this it! Switch on your TV or video game console and Mediastation should appear right there showing all your media files (though it can take sometime on very first installation before some files are actually visible because Mediastation had to build its media index first).
