Postby ethanreedy » Fri May 02, 2003 4:57 am

Im working on a Win98SE machine. I've installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled every way I can think of, but I'm getting a crash as soon as I can actually see the application screen. Here's the crash details if it helps:

Crashes for me as well

Postby Mac » Sun May 04, 2003 9:15 pm

I first installed cam2pc 2 versions ago and it worked fine on a win98SE machine.

The last update I had problems with the program crashing. I reinstalled in several times and eventually got it to work, thinking it was probably due to a bad hard drive which I replaced for other reasons, and then I reinstalled the program and it worked just fine.

Now I have upgraded to 3.1.2. which installs and recognizes my camera, but as soon as I open the program, I get the smae messages you are getting.

I have installed and reinstalled the program several times, everytime with the same result, the camera recognizes my camera I go through the setup but as soon as I open the program it crashes.

Unfortunately I deleted the previosu 2 versions so I', out of luck until the next upgrade comes out that may fix this problem

I think this may be your problem. Give this a try.

Once you have completed installing and ID'ing your camera and made your settings close down the program from the icon in the tray. Do not attempt to open the program with the Image Browsers Icon. Instead open it with the Image Downloader Icon.

Apparently Image Browser will not open with out crashing unti you have at least uploaded a picture into it.

I remembered this was how I got around my last problem.

Good Luck
