Renaming of Nikon NEF files fails

When using version 3.1.1 to transfer and rename NEF files via a USB card reader, the files are not renamed. I have tried several variations of the renaming mask. Currently it is set to "Img%Y%m%d%{num:4}.%e". The files are transferred, but not renamed. Any ideas how to fix this?

what is the extension of the files? Can you send me one sample image file?

NEF file renaming fails on version 3.1.1

The file extension is *.NEF
They are Nikon D100 raw image files. The camera names them DSC_0001.NEF, DSC_0002.NEF, etc.
Renaming worked properly of version 3.0.1. I have uninstalled 3.1.1 and reinstalled the older version which continues to rename properly.
Then .NEF files are 10MB in size and cannot be compressed any significant amount. I will try to email one to you via my dial-up connection but it may not go through.

That's normal that it does not work anymore in 3.1. With the introduction of EXIF renaming only images are now renamed. And "detection" of images is done on the extension. I'll add .NEF to the list of image extensions but I want to make sure I can read EXIF data from NEF images. This will probably be in a 3.1.2 due real soon now!

Sorry this won't be in 3.1.2. I have no problems reading image data and EXIF data from TIFF files but there is work to do to be able to rotate such files or edit the EXIF data in it.
So this will have to wait another release!
