Turn off auto-save function

Postby rshhung » Fri May 21, 2004 8:58 am

Really like the program and its becoming my main choice of application for browsing folders with large number of thumbnails.

When I rotate a picture, it automatically save the rotated image without any prompt. How do you turn off the autosave function :?:

The JPEG rotation does not save the picture. It only changes the orientation in the JPEG header. This is a lossless operation so all you have to do is to rotate it in the opposite direction to revert to the previous state.

Thanks for the reply. As I'm quite new to DC imaging, I have 2 more questions. 1) is the JPEG header included in the EXIF. I've looked there but there seems to be no description to the orientation. 2) Even if it only changes the jpeg orientation, it automatically changes the original file date which I sometimes would like to keep.

What is the workround method to keep the original dates when browsing?
