My Photo Collection - Help!

Postby jan.jedryka » Sun May 02, 2004 11:52 am

I run Cam2Pc in XP Pro
I have catalogued 25 CDs in CAM2PC.
I have trouble browsing the pics.
After viewing about 3 Off Line directories the program stops responding.

It makes the program unusable as a browser. I don't want to loose it as such. I want it to work. So please help me run it efficiently.

What I'm trying to say is that cam2pc will hang after a bit of browsing in the Off Line section. After looking at 3 or so folders in succesion - it hangs. If I am looking for a particular pic by browsing it simply dosesn't get there.

I would ask where are the thumbnail views stored and can I get the program to run the off line stuff more efficiently.

XP Pro
1.1 GHz
368 MB
Cam2pc Ver 4.3
Can you tell me how to run cam2pc efficiently - page file size? restore size - I'll try anything?

I downloaded the updates to XP but cam2pc was still unstable. I began behaving really well after I optimised the database. So far so good with only occaisional hangups which can be put down to overexubrance. Optimising the database always seems to improve matters.

Thanks it's a great program. :D Would apreciate RAW support if possible without sacrificing any other feature.
