Error transfering images to network drive (4.x)

When downloading images to a network-drive (samba-server on a linux machine) using the downloader doesn't function.. Directories are created, also a file for every image but these files have size 0. Also an error message per image is given.
Downloading to a local driver goes flawlessly. Also copying the files inside the browser to the network driver works fine.
I'm running Windows XP Home. I have an Powershot S10 using the latest WIA-driver. The problems was already in version 4.1.x and is still present in version 4.2

Hello,
yes this was not fixed. The workaround is still valid: mount your network drive as a local drive and it should work!

Set it to 'N:\%Y-%m-%d' but with the same result: "Error during transfer of image xxxx. Continue transmition?"
At the end, sub-directories are created according to the dates of the images and for every image a file exists but size 0 :-(

Are you able to create normal textfiles using notepad? Even in one of the newly created directories?

After some tests here some extra data:
- directory created has unix-mask 777
- files created have unix-mask 766
- it is possible to create files (f.i. textfile using notepad) in the newly created directories
- it is possible inside image browser to copy files to newly created directories
Still, files have size 0.
By the way, using a Canon Powershot S1 gives the same results.....
