cam2pc starts looping after watching quicktime movies

Hello,

i've been using cal2pc for a week and he did a great job to download
the pictures taken with my Olympus Camedia 4000 Zoom (4 Megapixels).
I use it also to rename the files from a X Drive VP2030: no problems.

Creating new directories and renaming the pictures on the fly using EXIF info is quite usefull  .

I've no problem with the jpeg and tiff files but I have a big problem with
the MOV files (quicktime movies): the movie appears and can be watched
but, when I go back to the browser, nothing works anymore.
At that time cam2pc takes 100% of the cpu and nothing can be done (not even exiting the application). Only solution: kill the process and avoid
watching the movies with cam2pc  .

I am using windows XP pro SP1A as OS  .

Is it a known bug ? :?:

When you watch the movie file does it appear in the Preview window and you double click and QT is launched? Which version of QT do you have? Did you try to upgrade to the latest version available?

When you watch the movie file does it appear in the Preview window
> Yes but it was still, now with 6.5 it moves.

and you double click and QT is launched?
> Yes

Which version of QT do you have?
> It was 5.0.2

Did you try to upgrade to the latest version available?
> I upgrade to 6.5 this evening and now, you know what ?

> IT WORKS :!:

> OK, I know, I forgot to keep on upgrading...

> That's why all these new software are always trying to upgrade themselves these days...

I've still a problem with the mov files  :

They cannot be deleted from within the browser: I get the message
that the file is being used by another program.

If I exit from the QuickMovie program in the tray, always the same message.

Then I leave cam2pc and use the explorer to delete these files, IT WORKS.

So cam2pc seems to keep these files open even when another file is
selected...

Hope It will help to improve this usefull software  .

This is a long time bug that I have just fixed. Seems to work now. This will be included in upcoming 4.2.
