I'm not sure if anyone has done a comparison between FastStone and cam2pc but it sure does seem similar. I wonder if some ideas were borrowed?

FastStone has a few good features, such as the thumbnail browser in full screen mode. I still prefer the cam2pc downloader and full screen viewer. Also, cam2pc render quite a bit faster and produces a sharper, better looking image.

FastStone is free of course, but does not render video at all which is a downside. I hope you haven't paid out good money for cam2pc though because basically the author - nabocorp - has disappeared and does not respond. The chances of getting help with really solving a problem are, I would say. nil. Don't waste your time...
