Downloader stops responding transfering 100+ photos

Postby rasmusbruun » Sun Oct 12, 2003 8:02 pm

I am using the shareware version (still unregistered) of Cam2pc 4.0 to copy photos from one folder to another on my harddrive (renaming and rotating photos during the process), and if I try to copy more than 100 photos, the downloader application stops responding. If I copy 100 or less photos at a time, it works fine.

Is this a limitation of the shareware version until it is registered?

Also, I have the previously mentioned error about selecting the options to write protect and to rotate at the same time: no rotation is applied.

Apart from this I want to compliment you on a very elegant program that seems simple, although it does a lot. The only thing I miss is the ability to select which photos I want to download from a list without having to download the thumbnails first. It would also be nice if the program marks which photos on the list I have already downloaded (like the Breeze Downloader).

Kind regards,

Hi,

First of all let me second rasmusbruun. Congratulation on a great photo program. I just discovered cam2Pc a few days ago while lurking on dpreview's forum and I'm now playing with the trial version of 4.0.

However I found the exact same problem as Rasmus just described.

When downloading more than a bunch of approx 100 photos camp2c just "stop responding" I then have to kill the process and start again.
When downloading less than 100 everything works fine.

I tried downloading from my camera (thru USB), from my CF card reader or from a directory on my HD it's always the same.

Is it a bug or a limitation of the trial version ?

Thanks for any help,

Regards,

Christian
