3.1.3: renaming adds one hour compared to EXIF time

Hi all,

I just switched from a USB mass storage camera to a Canon A70 and I'm very happy to find cam2pc. Great work!

However, when renaming files on download each filename (using %Y%m%d-%h%u%s-%{num:2}.%{ext} as a mask) is one hour ahead compared to the EXIF time (as displayed by various programs including cam2pc itself).

I'm using cam2pc 3.1.3 with the german language pack for 3.1.2 on Windows 2000 SP4.

Is it a localtime related problem? Germany is GMT+1 and so is my windows timezone.

Regards,
   Heinz

Hello Heinz,

i have the same problem with a Canon IXUS 300. I use the v3.1.2 on W2K.

Do you have a solution?

Best regards,
Marco

Hi Marco,

I'm now using cam4you, http://jpegclub.org/cam4you/index.htm. Looks less appealing, but works well. A nice feature ist the $FNUM pseudovariable which holds the actual internal picture number (as far as I understand, cam2pc can only include the complete original filename).

HTH, regards,
Heinz

Hello all,

I have identified the problem and it is fixed. The Canon stuff behaves strangely on this thing but I have found a workaround and it will be working in the next version of cam2pc.

Stay tuned!
