cam2pc does not start transfer automatically

Postby TilRoquette » Thu Jul 10, 2003 3:35 pm

I am using cam2pc with my Canon PowerShot S45.

Options:

Canon Camera,
Automatic Transfer (no main dialog)
Start cam2pc w/ windows (XP)
integrate cam2pc in folder context menue (only jpg and bmp)

However, when I plug in the PowerShot S45, a Windows window pops up to ask for the application to start - and cam2pc is not included in this list of apps.

Cam2pc is also not included in the Auto-Start options of the PowerShot S45 device.

Any idea?

Hello,

cam2pc is not able to detect Canon camera plugin. Please look at this thread for details on how to register cam2pc...

Yes, of course it's able to do that ... with my new registry patch 8)
for XP and Canon Powershot A40 at least, but certainly for all cameras (the registry modifications DO NOT DEPEND of the camera)
Apply the patch, reboot, and cam2pc appears in automatic events :D
Want the patch ?? Mail me !!

Now, cam2pc starts upon USB, but does not start to transfer

Postby TilRoquette » Fri Jul 25, 2003 6:12 pm

Hi,

thanks for the patch.

Now, cam2pc shows up in the list of apps to start with USB connect (and I have chosen cam2pc als "always use this app").

BUT: I want cam2pc to start immediately to download (without hitting OK) - this is not the case.

Any idea?

I use cam2pc 3.1.3 beta.
