Problem w/ autom. numbering of pics

Options:
Canon Camera
Folder Mask D:\Eigene Dateien\Eigene Bilder\%Y-%m
File Mask %Y-%m %{num:3}.%e, automatic numbering, one counter per folder
When transfering a new bunch of pics, the counter startet with 90, though there was only one other picture in the directory.
EDIT:
When I added a new bunch of pics a few days later, cam2pc numbered these pictures from 177 though the last pic had the number 130.

At the first time I have used cam2pc, the numbering was not according the the time the pictures were take (e.g., the picture taken at 6 pm had a lower number then the pictures taken at 3 pm the sane day) (yes, I pulled pack this bug report but after rechecking,I had to find out, that the numbering was, in deed, wrong).
Any idea, how to solve the problem?
