Support for Canon Powershot A70, and other new Canon cameras

This version is NOT available anymore. Please download cam2pc 4.0.

=================================

The 3.1.3 version seems to work for some of the testers and not for others. Unfortunately I do not have access to one of the latest Canon cameras so I can't debug the thing. I will have to seek access to a A70 or something. Until now you may wish to try the 3.1.3 version. Download those two files and install them in this order:

Until the 3.1.3 is fixed the official download will still be the 3.1.2.

Hello,

good news: Canon should be shipping a A60 to me (they were out of stocks of A70) so I should be able to debug and release 3.1.3 real soon now!

Cam2PC... The excellent program! It`s excellent work with my A60.

Some Wish:

HotKey For viewing the image in actual size, like in ACDS (hotkey `/`).

`Copy`, `Paste`, `Cut` Items in the contextual menu (down right click on preview).

`Camera model` string in `On Screen Display` options, when `Exif metadata` selected in `Detail level` combobox.

Great Program!

Whether probably to make an option of sorting preview not only by name, but also by date of modifying For example (on the size, on type)? It is very important for me.

Why it does not want to work with a network under XP (if browse work groop in your explorer) though with the connected network disks works perfectly?

Hallo,

I read so much about this great programm, but I can't connect it to my new canon digital ixus II. I now ask myself if this type isn's supported jet I even tried the 3.1.3 version, postet above....
I started the connection wizard after the installation, but after 2 min a message appeared, saying "there is no camera connected, please check your connection". But it was connected correctly via USB and I also started the camera before the connection process in the viewing mode.
I also installed the Twain Drivers from the Canon Homepage.

Can anybody help me please, can't wait to get my pics on my computer. Thanks a lot.

Chris

Did you install the two files listed above: cam2pc-setup.exe AND cam2pc-canon.exe?

OK, now it works :) I installed the Canon Drivers again and after a reboot everything is fine!

But the Renaming doesn't work. When I write in options that my file shold be renamed with my personal description and behind that with the complete date, the pics are afterwards named "MG_0241, MG_0242,..."
What's the problem?

Thanks
Chris
